Grief Ritual For Furry Friends

Join Michelle Hannah, Registered Psychotherapist, and Bianca (Bee) Gianfrancesco, Death Doula in training with specializations in pet loss support, at Wholesome Canine for a grief ritual to honour the animal companions we've lost.

We'll be sharing a space to honour and grieve the animal companions who are no longer in our lives, however that loss may have occurred (death, rehoming, etc.) and no matter how long ago it happened.

This ritual will include the creation of a shared altar and a writing exercise for private reflection. This is not a processing group or deep sharing circle, though there will be a brief opportunity for optional sharing. This is a quiet, introvert-friendly gathering, created by introverts, for introverts.

Accessibility needs

The group will be hosted indoors in a ground floor space. There is one step at the entrance, and a ramp is available. The bathroom is not accessible. Seating options include a couch, folding chairs, and floor cushions. There will be a small amount of smoke from candles and small quantities of burned dried herbs.
