Fibre is a necessary part of a healthy diet for dogs and domestic cats. Ideal fibre content varies between individuals, but as a starting point, dogs should get about 2-5% and cats about 1-4% daily fibre, with a starting point ratio of 3:1 of insoluble to soluble fibre.
