About Proactive Paws
After years of formulating supplements for other brands, Dr. Karen Becker finally created Proactive Paws. Its core belief is in the power of whole foods, potent botanicals, and science-backed supplements to prevent disease and promote resilience. Proactive Paws was created to fill the gaps in the pet supplement market.
Opening the first functional-medicine vet hospital in the U.S. in 1999, Dr. Becker has been helping animals thrive ever since. She was among the first to bypass veterinary grade supplies and work instead with human-grade resources to treat the animals under her care. Creating her own protocols and formulas, she was soon asked to share her knowledge with other vets, quietly helping to raise the bar for pets everywhere.
