DM Formula is a two thousand year old herbal formula that's been adapted with the help modern research to support dogs with degenerative myelopthy (DM).
It can help halt disease progression or even reverse symptoms in dogs who still have coordination and sensation in the hind limbs but who are too weak to properly stand or walk. It helps reduce the amount of mutated gene that causes DM in the body and helps combat inflammation and oxidative stress in the spinal cord.
Improvement is more likely in dogs fed a real food diet and who are under the care of a rehabilitation therapist or physiotherapist. Other therapies that can increase the chances of improvement include
- massage and gentle chiropractic to help mobilize the spine
- acupuncture and laser treatment for inflammation
- ozone therapy to reduce oxidative stress
Instructions for use
Mix into food or a tasty treat twice a day.
It's recommended to feed a real food diet.
Safe for long-term use and for use with all other therapies used in the treatment of DM. Do not use with formulas that enhance circulation in the hind limbs, including kidney and blood tonics.
Dosages
Dosages can be safely doubled.
Twice per day:
Dogs <15 lb: 1/8 tsp
15-40 lb: 1/4 tsp
40-70 tsp: 1/2 tsp
70-110 lb: 3/4 tsp
>110 lb: 1 tsp

Bupleurum root, ginseng root, rhubarb root and rhizome, ginger rhizome, pinellia rhizome, jujube, salvia root, scutellaria root, natural flavour.
