Think of animal chiropractic as a tune-up for your dog's spine and nervous system. Animal chiropractic is a gentle, hands-on therapy that addresses joint, disc, and soft tissue issues, the kind that build up slowly over time and often go unnoticed until something feels off. Which is why we're pleased to host the first in a series of pop up clinics with Dr. Carruthers.
Just like in humans, when your dog's spine isn't moving the way it should, it can interfere with how the nervous system functions. That might show up as a slight limp first thing in the morning, stiffness when getting up, changes in gait, or, in more serious cases, loss of rear-leg function or bladder control.
A chiropractic adjustment restores proper movement to the spine and joints, which allows the surrounding nerves, muscles, and soft tissue to do their jobs. The result is less pain, better mobility, and a dog that moves like themselves again.
Yes, adjustments are safe gentle and specific. Animal chiropractors are licensed doctors (either chiropractic or veterinary) who have completed specialized training and international certification through the College of Animal Chiropractors (COAC) or the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). It complements, not replaces, your regular vet care.
